60 Vegan Capsules (1-Month Supply)
D-Mannose, a simple sugar, is a different form of glucose. It is present in fruits like apples, peaches, oranges, etc.1 Unlike table sugar, which has a high glycemic index and is rapidly absorbed in the intestine, D-Mannose's absorption rate is one-tenth that of glucose and it does not stimulate the secretion of insulin in the pancreas. Almost 45% of the rapidly infused D-Mannose is sent out of the body through urine.2 Our D-Mannose is completely vegan and does not contain either gluten or rice.
D-Mannose and weight loss
Studies indicate that the consumption of D-Mannose at an earlier age may support healthy weight maintenance. D-Mannose is thought to communicate with bacteria in the gut and it helps increase metabolism and the absorption of fats.3 Research also indicates that the type of microorganism population present in the gut can play a significant role in regulating energy absorption and metabolic efficiency.4
D-Mannose and urinary tract health
Research indicates that D-Mannose was not only efficient in managing acute cystitis among women but also helped to maintain a healthy bladder.6 D-Mannose binds with E.coli and prevents it from adhering to the epithelial cells in the urinary tract. Then they get excreted via urine, thereby supporting a healthy female urinary tract.7
D-Mannose dosage and side effects
Two capsules a day, equivalent to a dosage of 750 mg, or as recommended by a healthcare professional, will help promote a healthy urinary tract. D-Mannose is considered safe for consumption. However, higher doses might cause gastrointestinal discomfort, abdominal bloating, and diarrhea.8
